Experienced birdwatchers required for Birds on Farms in Victoria

Experienced birdwatchers required for Birds on Farms in Victoria

The BirdLife Australia Woodland Birds team are seeking support from experienced birdwatchers interested in volunteering on the Birds on Farms monitoring program.

Each birdwatcher (or couple, or small group) would be connected with a rural landholder within Victoria.  It would involve undertaking up to four 20 minute-2 ha surveys on this property approximately once every three months.  We have opportunities all across the state, with immediate needs for birdwatching assistance in the Sale/Bairnsdale area, south of Traralgon, near Broadford and Lancefield and in the vicinity of Castlemaine and the Wimmera.

To express interest, please contact Caroline Wilson and Chris Timewell by email (woodlandbirds@birdlife.org.au) or call (03 9347 0757).  Extensive information about the program is available on the website .
